Marine veteran. Small business owner. Husband and dad. Fighting for working families.
Chris Jimenez grew up knowing what it meant to stretch a dollar.
His father owned a small business, and his mother worked hard every day. They taught him to show up, take responsibility, and do his part. He saw how much work it took to give a family stability — and how quickly one setback could put it at risk.
Those lessons stayed with Chris when he joined the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine, he learned to work alongside people from different backgrounds, solve problems under pressure, and take responsibility for getting the job done. Service meant putting the people counting on him first.
Today, Chris is a small business owner, husband, and father raising his family in rural Williamson County. He understands the pressure families face because he faces it, too: property taxes, utility bills, groceries, and healthcare taking a bigger bite out of the budget.
Chris knows what it’s like to lose health coverage because of a job change. As a dad, he knows how much parents count on their public schools. And as a small business owner, he understands that a strong economy should give the people doing the work a chance to get ahead.
That’s why he’s running for State Representative.
While working families struggle to afford the basics, too many politicians in Austin put their billionaire donors and special interests first. Chris believes our families deserve someone who understands what they’re facing and will fight to make their lives better.
He’ll fight to lower costs and property taxes, fully fund public schools, and make healthcare more affordable. He’ll stand up for fellow veterans, support law enforcement and first responders, and push for roads, water systems, and a power grid that keep pace with our growing communities. And he’ll demand that large data centers and other corporate interests pay their fair share instead of leaving families with higher bills and less water.
Chris will work with anyone to do what’s right for our families — and stand up to anyone who gets in the way, no matter their party.
He answered the call to serve our country. Now, he’s ready to serve Williamson County.
